Different Ways Your Dog Is Trying To Communicate With You and What This Means

Article written by Paul Luciw
Dogs have their own special way when attempting to communicate with their human friends. They will bark in a certain way to get their humans attention. Some will jump on their human friend if they haven't seen them for a certain time.
With most dogs being away from their best friend is a very lonely experience. When they see their human friend at the end of the day they will react to this. Your dog is very aware of your presence and will be very affectionate if he or she has not seen you for a long period of time.
Dogs have different ways of showing their affection and actually use body language to convey their feelings. You dog will display these actions as way of getting your attention. They will also display a pattern which often involves play. They will often bark at you in a low voice when they feel that you are not giving them proper attention. This attention often requires petting them often which lets them understand that you are not going away.
Dogs use various movements and body positions to communicate their feelings.just as humans do. Their body language is more obvious than humans. Many humans are unaware of the body language they are conveying. Dogs use body language on purpose as they can not speak in words. Body language is a form of non-verbal communication. This means your dog can express his or hers intentions through their body movements and position such as lying down in a certain way. Of course how you interpret their body language depends on how well you know your dog and the behavior of dogs in general.
Dogs will even use their ears to communicate. They will often heighten or flatten their ears to convey certain emotions. When they heightened their ears they ready for play or are curious about something nearby. When they flatten their ears they are in a very content place such as being petted or cuddled.
Their tall is another indicator of their mood or intentions. How a dog wags his tail is one of the best ways to understand your dogs behavior. When a dogs holds his tail high this could mean he feels dominant. If he or she holds their tail low this could be a sign of aggression or just mean they are being submissive.
Understanding your dogs behavior will take time and patience. There are resources on the internet that can help you with this. But remember your dog is an intelligent creature that requires your friendship. Some of the things he or she does can be controlled but only with the proper training.

Your Dog Understands You More Than You Think

Have you ever wondered if your dog understands you more than you think?
There are a number of clues your dog reveals to you that will make this apparent. Dogs use body language to communicate with the humans they live with. Your fury friend also use various vocal sounds to communicate what they are thinking.
These signs of communication become very apparent especially if they haven't seen you in a long time such as when you come home from work or even after you have played a round of golf. Typically a dog will greet you and often jump up and look for a sign that you understand that he or she needs to be touched. The jumping action often means that their front paws will touch you. This is a good thing. This may also mean they want to go for a walk. Your dog may also bark at you. This means they are anxious for your attention. Providing attention to them is good for their mental health. Taking them for a walk is also good for their health and will be good for yours as well.
You pet dog understands that you will respond to such actions, such as jumping up and barking when you return home from a long day at work
Perhaps you will need to sit with them on the couch and cuddle. This could be done as you wait for your dinner to cook in the microwave or as you read your mail. This could also lead to taking your fury friend for a walk. Your dogs wanting you to cuddle with you could mean they are trying to communicate with you about going for a walk. They will understand that cuddling means ultimately you will be taking them for a walk. Going for a walk is very important for them as they will be able to use the full range of their senses. Of course means their very well-developed sense of smell. When talking them for a walk let them enjoy the use of their sense of smell.
Your dog uses his sense of smell as a form of communication with other dogs and as a way of understanding where they have been before. They might even been trying to communicate where you should be taking them for a walk. If they been there before their sense of smell will let your dog know. This could also mean they understand that after you are taking them for a walk you will eventually give them a treat such as a milk bone.

The Pomeranian is Royalty

The Pomeranian, a favorite of royalty, is a descendant of the Spitz sled dogs. Queen Victoria of England, who once had 35 Pomeranians, made the dog popular in England in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Pomeranian is a breed of dog best know for their outgoing personality and very attractive appearance. They are a small dog with a very strong, happy physical and mental make up.

These dogs are also very friendly and love going for walks as they are very active and alert. They are very aware of everything that is going around them and like being the center of attention. This is why he or she will be a good alarm as they will give out a bark for a good reason such as a warning of the nearing of an unknown person or animal. Of course the will bark if a friendly person is approaching, but this will be a distinctly different type of barking sound.

These dogs were originally breed from a much larger breed which was used to pull sleds in the region of the Arctic. This breed is the miniaturized version of these so-called Spitz type working class dogs. This dog breed is named for Pomerania, the area of Europe that is now part of Poland and western Germany.

Pomerania is a historical region on the southern shore of the Baltic Sea in Central Europe, split between Poland and Germany.

The Pomeranian became very popular with Queen Victoria who was attracted to their elegant and regal appearance while visiting Florence, Italy. She apparently returned to England with a number of Pomeranians by her side, which help to gain this dog's popularity into the future

Queen Victoria became a serious breeder of the Pomeranian and entered them into various exhibitions in which one her favorite fury friends, Windsor Marco, won first place in his class. The Queen is also said to be the reason these dogs are so small as she breed them to be about thirty pounds smaller to become of the toy stature.

Increase Your Dogs Intelligence

Pomeranians are a smart dog but sometimes they do not realize how small they are and will confront larger dogs. As a result when you are taking your Pomeranian for his daily walk be aware of nearby dogs. However people in the vicinity will be attracted to your fury friend and generally will want to visit, as the Pomeranian is generally outgoing and willing to meet new people. He or she will enjoy any encounter with friendly persons, especially if there is a treat involved.

Pomeranians will require daily exercise as they are an active dog full of energy. This often only require a walk around the block, but be surprised if your Pomeranian requires more than on walk a day. Giving him walk on a daily basis will also be good for your health.
